All Warps And Bends: Ropes, lines, sheets, cables and knots of all kinds - sailing and mooring, lashing down, hauling up...

Covering Up: Coatings of all kinds are dealt with on this page - paints, varnishes, anti-foulings, gelcoats - you name it.

Fitting Fixtures : Everything from winches to sails, through anchor chains and sea-cocks, is covered in this section. We'll look at the old and the new, the vital and the merely desirable. In this section, you can tell us of your experiences with equipment and your opinions of it.

Inboard Engines : Marine diesels, these days, range from old single cylinder workhorses to 12-cylinder turbo-charged performance diesels, each having it's idiosyncrasies. We'll be looking at the relative merits of the more popular models as well as sharing your stories about more unusual ones. If anyone wants to introduce the topic of marine petrol (or gasoline, as they say in the USA) inboards, we are all ears...or should that be eyes? We will use this section for the engines which turn the vessel's propellers and the power generating systems ( gen-sets) too.

Man The Pumps: Freshwater, raw water, pumps are vital organs aboard boats. Tell us about yours. Which pumps last longest, work fastest and most efficiently? What about automatic systems? What sort of pump should you use for each application aboard? What maintenance is required for optimum performance?
This is the section where tried and trusted pumps can be praised, new pumps can be explained - all things related, too - impellers etc.

Outboard Motor : Again, the range of models available today is mind-boggling. We'll look at all kinds, the old and the new, the simple and the-state-of-the-art.

Sail Area: Traditional and modern materials and cuts - sail plans, innovations - you name it!

Stick With Us: Adhesives of every kind belong on this page - on tapes, in tubes, pots and cans - tell us what works best for you and where it can be found. Anybody out there still making his/her own adhesive mixtures?
