How do you get your weather information aboard your vessel? We are interested in all systems for all classes of vessel so we'd love to hear about yours... Do you interpret natural signs to help you make sailing decisions? How can you tell what different cloud formations mean? What, for example, would you make of this strange cloud formation, mid-Atlantic between Bermuda and the Azores in September 2000? What is the barometer telling you when it rises and falls? Which on-board weather forecasting and measuring instruments are the best in your opinion and why? E-mail us with your contribution to this page and start the ball rolling... Anything which comes under the heading of weather is welcomed. We will do our best to present the information we receive in as interesting and simple a way as possible.
Maybe we will run a contest to see who can explain things in the simplest and easiest way for the uninitiated to understand... If you can tell us anything which might be of interest, including explaining the changing weather patterns over time and about odd phenomena like El Niño, we are all ears. Well, all eyes at least!
