Privately conducted surveys have helped to shape our
thinking. Most people actively dislike flashing, whirling, blinking
advertising images on pages upon which they are trying to read text or
look at pictures.
That includes men, women and children in most parts of the world.
We are committed to keeping this magazine reader-friendly. That includes
not launching an assault on the eyeballs of the unprepared. It means
allowing people to read an article without having to hold one hand up,
to cover the irritating advertising. Even a
little marquee can annoy.
If you think we're kidding, peek into an Internet
café sometime, at
those who are 'surfing the 'Net'.
We intend to combine the avoidance of unwittingly annoying your potential
customers with offering you our readers' exclusive attention on the page
where your banner appears, by having only one advertisement per Feature page and using an immobile
banner, or button, linked to a web page; an entire website or just to your
e-mail address. In fact, your banner doesn't have to be linked to
anywhere at all if you prefer it that way.
If you want the link to be to a website we can use your existing site or
we'll be glad to build a page or site for you, at special
rates.
We can extract enough material from your existing website, if you
already have one, to create a single, fast-loading
page in the magazine with a link to your main website on that page.
It is also possible for us to insert a copy of your home-page in the
magazine, provided it is a fast-loading page. Thus, with all the links
to your existing website on it working, the home page loads
immediately and the rest is up
to you.
It is our aim to have you with us for at least the next century and
preferably the millennium, so we take the whole business pretty
seriously. We know our rates are low enough to make it possible for any
business to advertise with us. We like to think
that the quality of
our product speaks for itself.
The editors of MarineZine
will not knowingly carry advertising (or links to) material which is deemed
unsuitable for publication, i.e. immoral, offensive or concerning
illegal activities, and we reserve the right to refuse to do so. Any
such material or links will be removed immediately upon discovery.
