| Tell us about any good books you've found on
this topic - at least the title, author and ISBN number (usually to be
found on the first or last pages either inside the book or on the back
cover outside... if you can spare the time to write a brief, or lengthy
review or description of the book, better still...we'll start things off
with one of the few we've read.

Adrift - Seventy-six
days lost at sea - by Steven Callahan ISBN 0345340833
A gripping true story, told by the survivor - an inspiration to
those of us who hope for the best but are always aware that the worst is
a possibility.
A heart-warming ending is the culmination of a series of
experiences which Steven Callahan brings alive. As we read this book we lived
through the gamut of emotions, leaving us exhausted but elated. Adrift is highly
recommended.

Against The Sea -
Great Adventure Stories - Edited by Louisa Rudeen - ISBN - 0380798611
Taken from the pages of Motor Boating & Sailing magazine, two
dozen gripping true tales, told by survivors, witnesses and others.
Against The Sea is great book for those who have little time to invest and prefer not to
plunge into a lengthy epic for fear of having to leave it unfinished or
neglect vital duties in the book's favour... Highly recommended.

| Sea Change - Alone
across the Atlantic in a wooden boat - by Peter Nichols - ISBN - 1861971850
Published (first edition) by Profile Books of London in 1999, this
is a brilliant book.
As the Sunday Times reviewer put it, Sea Change is 'worthy
of a place among the best survival stories'. We are inclined to
agree.

If every reader tells us about just one book
(the more the merrier) all our readers will get to hear about books they
might not otherwise have known existed and had the chance to enjoy - why
not drop us a line, with at least the book's title, name of the author
and ISBN details, and preferably with your description of the reason you
feel the book is worthy of inclusion in the library... Don't wait to see if anyone else bothers - they may be
waiting to see if you do - at that rate nobody will do
anything at all!
